I loved all of it. I was totally clueless on how to make a journal and now I have learned so much. With that being said I love all the different pockets.
Meet Denise
Hi, I’m Denise, the creator behind Crafty DIYer. I’ve always been a crafter and a DIYer since childhood. When the internet and social media opened up a whole new world of crafting, I discovered junk journaling through a YouTube channel featuring beautiful journals made with vintage items. I was fascinated but faced challenges learning from the many free resources available online. While there were countless videos, I often felt lost, spending hours watching tutorials only to find my journals didn’t turn out as I hoped. I would jump from one creator to another, trying to piece together bits of information, but it was frustrating not having anyone to ask questions or clarify details, leading me to give up on junk journaling for a while.
However, my love for paper crafting brought me back. As I began creating printables and saw a growing interest from others wanting to make junk journals, I realized there was a need for a structured course that could guide crafters through the process. I wanted to take away the frustration and provide a clear, step-by-step guide that free resources often lack. Earlier this year, we created a calendar junk journal course, and the transformations were incredible. Everyone ended up with a beautiful journal they were proud of.
And that’s how our junk journal course came to be—a place where crafters can learn, create, and feel proud of their work without the overwhelm.
